Introduction to Handguns– This course if offered to those who are interested in purchasing a handgun for the first time. The course is designed to give you the confidence and skills to safely handle and own a firearm. We cover Firearms Safety, Range Safety and Etiquette, Legalities to Firearms Ownership, How to Purchase a Handgun, Differences between Revolver and Semi- Auto Pistols, Different Actions of Semi- Auto Pistols, Ammunition Guidelines, Proper Loading and Unloading  Skills and the Fundamental of How to Use and Operate a Pistol Safely. We will have a variety of popular brands of handguns for you to handle and shoot to see what the best fit is for you.

Permit to Carry- This is the State Mandated course to obtain your Permit to Carry in the State of Minnesota. This is a legal class with a shooting proficiency test and gives you the most up to date information from a law enforcement perspective. We teach an easy to follow format that exceeds the Minnesota BCA criteria.  After successful completion of this course your certificate of training will be issued which is necessary to turn in to obtain you’re your permit. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge in the safe use of a firearm to include, loading, unloading and shooting a handgun. Topics include Firearms Safety, Fundamentals of Shooting, Use of Force, Alternatives to Deadly Force, Conflict Avoidance, State Statutes, Court Proceedings, Understanding the Parameters of your Permit, Your Legal Rights in the Home, Firearm and Ballistic Considerations, Methods of Carry, Physical and Psychological Reactions, Tactical Considerations and Law Enforcement Encounters.

Firearm Rental is available for $25 including ammunition, eye and hearing protection. If you’re not familiar with the proper safe handling including shooting of your firearm or need a refresher, we strongly encourage you to enroll in Introduction to Handguns Course.

Handgun Foundations- This course covers how to properly, effectively and safely use a handgun either at home or on the range. This is a hands on the range course with a short lecture introduction. The use of Paper and Steel Targets will be involved. Topics covered include: Firearm and Range Safety, Firearm, Holster and magazine selection and placement, Shooting Fundamentals, Trigger Finger Discipline and Muzzle Management, Static and Basic Movement Positions, Cycle of Motion Techniques Drawing from and return to the Holster, Magazine Changes, Maintenance and Preparation of Firearm, How to Handle Malfunctions

Advanced Carry- This course covers how to properly and safely use a handgun while carrying concealed for self-defense purposes. This is a steady paced advanced course in follow up to Handgun Foundation. The use of Paper and Steel Targets will be involved. Force on Force Carry– This course is a rare opportunity for those who carry a handgun for self-defense purposes to go through live scenarios utilizing training marking rounds. This training bridges the gap between firearms training and the use of in a real world environment. These reality based scenarios are carefully produced and monitored to induced inoculation, adrenaline and full immersion in a legal safe environment. After action reviews are conducted with the student for a better understanding of tactics and movements implemented to overcome dynamic situations.

LEOSA- HR218– This is the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act under House Resolution 218. This course is the annual qualifier needed for retired officers to obtain the proper ID from your issuing agency. Topics include the annual legal refresher and 50 round qualifier proficiency standard per handgun to be carried.

Distance Precision Scoped Rifle- This course is offered for those who are looking to enhance their long distance shooting abilities for hunting and target practice. Ranges will be extended out to 400 yards Topics to include Firearm and Range Safety, Precision Scoped Shooting Fundamentals, Understanding Optics, Trigger Finger Discipline, Understanding Zero, Ballistic Considerations. Both Steel and Paper targets will be utilized.

Course Requirements- Functioning Scoped Rifle .223/ 5.56 Minimum Caliber, Range Finder (Optional), Shooters Mat, Bipod Sand Sock or Ruck, Spotting Scope (Optional), 100 Rounds of Ammunition, Sling, Eye and Hearing Protection (Plugs preferred over Muffs)

Group Movement Operations- This course is offered as a follow up to Advanced Rifle. Range time during this course will assist in overcoming dynamic situation deficiencies such as Movement Coordination, Communication, Shooting on the Move, Use of Cover and Concealment, Stress Induced Reloads, Multiple Target Engagement and Battle Field Stressors. Paper and Steel Targets will be used. Topics also include Firearm and Range Safety, muzzle management in Dynamic Environments and Trigger Finger Discipline. Due to the coordination efforts class size is limited and Advanced Rifle is a Prerequisite.

Dynamic Prehospital Trauma Casualty Care- This course is offered as a follow up to Prehospital Trauma Casualty Care and Advanced Rifle. This course will introduce evidence based, life saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care in a dynamic environment. This course is designed for non-medical personal to provide immediate actions during and at the end of dynamic engagements.

Course Requirements- Functioning Rifle and Handgun with a minimum of three magazines for each, slings and quality holster, 200 rounds of rifle and 100 rounds of Pistol Ammunition, Cleaning Kit, Elbow and Knee Pads (Optional),  Eye and Hearing Protection. Prehospital Trauma casualty Care and Advanced Rifle are prerequisites to this course
